After a successful co-headlining tour in Europe, comedians and actors Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle have announced a limited seven-city run on the West Coast that will first hit Viejas Arena in San Diego on Thursday, Dec. 1.
The tour will also stop by Honda Center in Anaheim Wednesday, Dec. 7 and wrap up at the all-new Acrisure Arena in Thousand Palms on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Tickets to all of the shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 21 at Ticketmaster.com.
There is a strict no-cell phone policy for these events. Upon arrival, guests will need to secure their phones in Yondr pouches that they will maintain possession of throughout the show. If they need access, there will be unlocking stations available in the lobby and at the end of the show, all phones will be unlocked upon exit. Anyone caught with a cell phone inside the venue, will be immediately ejected.
Chappelle has had numerous Netflix specials debut on the streaming platform in recent years, including “The Closer” and “What’s in a Name?” The specials have at times been met with controversy over Chappelle’s jokes about LGBTQ and transgender people. In May, the comic was tackled on stage by an armed man during a performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. In 2021, he worked with rapper Talib Kweli and Yasiin Bey to launch “The Midnight Miracle” podcast.
Rock was in the spotlight for being on the receiving end of actor Will Smith’s slap, as Rock hosted the 94th Academy Awards in March of this year. Rock recently wrapped production on the drama, “Rustin,” based on the story of gay civil rights activist Bayard Rustin, and has starred as Loy Cannon in FX’s drama “Fargo.”
