Comedian Kevin James stopped by Worcester Public Market Friday while he’s in town to perform stand-up at the Hanover Theatre.
James visited Pasta Mani, the city’s first fully handmade pasta eatery.
Chef Jay Midwood shared pictures of himself and James and James’s signature on a door on Facebook. Worcester Public Market also shared the photos.
“Really cool to have just cooked for this guy! Thanks Kevin James. You’re a beast!” Midwood wrote in his post.
The Worcester Public Market posted it was an “absolute honor and pleasure” to have James in the market.
Midwood told MassLive prepared two bowls of spaghetti “with a buttload of garlic” for James and a good friend of his.
“He said it was amazing,” Midwood said.
He called James “super cool” and said he knows James likes pasta a lot.
“If I’m lucky he’ll call later and come in after we close,” Midwood said.
James is scheduled to perform at the Hanover Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The comedian is known for his sitcom “The King of Queens” which ran for nine seasons from 1998 to 2007 and earned him an Emmy nomination. James has also appeared in several movies, including “Grown Ups,” “Hitch” and “Paul Blart: Mall Cop.”
In addition to Worcester Public Market, James was also spotted at Fuel America in downtown Worcester.
