Some abnormalities were found in the test reports, says doctor
Bangladeshi stand-up comedian Abu Hena Rony, who had sustained burn injuries in a gas blast at a Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) event, is still not out of danger.
National Coordinator at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute Dr Samanta Lal Sen on Sunday afternoon said this after a meeting of the medical board for the treatment of Abu Hena Rony and constable Md Zillur Rahman.
The doctor said: “We consider more than 15% burn in adults as critical. Since both Rony and Zillur sustained more than 15% burn injuries, we cannot say they are out of danger yet.”
Some abnormalities were found in their test reports, the doctor said, adding: “Both have tracheal burns, but not that serious.”
Abu Hena Rony and four others sustained burn injuries in a gas blast on the fourth founding anniversary event of the GMP on Gazipur District Police Lines ground on Friday evening.
