Holiday events, tasty libations and community health screenings are happening around the San Diego region in the coming weeks as we move deeper into November.
Here’s a quick roundup of great events to add to your calendar:
Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa is holding its annual Whiskey & Wine Party on Friday evening, paying homage to the property’s horse ranch history.
The event is billed as a “West Coast and southern-styled feast under the stars.”
Comfort foods will be paired with premiere whiskey, bourbon and wine tastings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at a price of $150 (valet parking included).
Live music and bonfires will help set the mood, as well as a lengthy list of beverages including Woodford Reserve, Heaven Hill, Elijah Craig, High West, Wild Turkey, Nelson, Suntory, Jim Beam, Angel’s Envy and more.

The hotel is also offering a room package that includes a generous room rate, two tickets to the event and complimentary parking.
Set in “wintry” San Diego, “Ebenezer Scrooge’s BIG San Diego Christmas Show,” by Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen, will hit the stage at the Old Globe from Nov. 18 to Dec. 24.

Based on “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, the show is a “fast, funny, and highly theatrical re-imagining of one of the most beloved holiday stories ever told.” Guests of all ages are welcome to join in on the laughter, music and holiday cheer.
Tickets start at $49.
