HANCOCK'S HALF HOUR: This is the episode recently rediscovered almost 70 years after it aired, via a domestic reel-to-reel audio recording found in car boot sale. The Marriage Bureau is also a notable episode as it features Peter Sellers in his only appearance in the show, filling in for an absent Kenneth Williams. Now it's finally being heard again, for the first time since 1955… BBC Radio 4, 6.30pm
MEL GIEDROYC: UNFORGIVABLE: The comic and her sidekick Lou Sanders this week hear confessional stories from Stephen Mangan, Josh Pugh and Ellie TaylorDave, 10pm
THE NORWEGIAN HANCOCK: A second treat for Tony Hancock fans this week, as devotee Paul Merton examines how Galton and Simpson’s scripts for the lad himself were reimagined for the Scandinavian market. Fleksnes Fataliteter, revolving around the misadventures of Marve Fleksnes became Norway’s most successful comedy, starting four years after Hancock died. In 2002 the writers created a new script for Fleksnes – making it effectively the final Hancock script. BBC Radio 4, 11.30am
FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE: The groundbreaking 1980s comedy and variety show is back for a 90-minute special to mark Channel 4's 40th anniversary. Ben Elton returns to host alongside Harry Enfield, Julian Clary and Jo Brand from his generation and Rosie Jones, Mawaan Rizwan, Jordan Gray, and Sam Campbell from the next. And there's live music courtesy of Mercury Prize nominee Self Esteem. Channel 4, 9pm
