Kevin Hart is set as host and executive producer of TKO: Total Knock Out, the obstacle-course competition series with a twist that’s coming to CBS in the summer. It hails from Survivor EP Mark Burnett and MGM Television.
New Show, “TKO”
The 10-episode hour-long series formerly known as TKO is a battle of 1 versus 4. The show features one player racing through daunting obstacles while four other contestants are manning battle stations along the course. The 4 contestants fire projectiles in an attempt to knock them off and slow them down. It’s an “us versus them” scenario, with the top two players advancing to the final showdown to face off for a cash prize.
“This show aligns perfectly with my global brand,” Hart gloats. “The minute Mark Burnett pitched me, it was clear and we decided to work together. This show has the potential to make me look tall.”
Still Atop the Comedy Charts
Actor-comedian Hart is hot off the box office success of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and is currently on a world tour of stand-up comedy. Kevin’s next venture is a starring role in the feature ‘Night School.’ The film, co-written and produced by Kevin Hart features the ever popular Tiffany Haddish. Night School is set to hit theaters September 28th.
TKO: Total Knock Out is a collaboration between MGM Television and HartBeat Productions. The show is distributed internationally by MGM. Barry Poznick is the executive producer alongside Burnett and Hart.
Too Much Kevin?
We know what you’re going to say, ‘ain’t this brother getting enough checks?’ Well, the answer is obviously no because they’re still being cut, and people are still in love with Kevin’s comedy. While there are literally thousands of other comics deserving a big break, we’re happy Kevin continues to win. We applaud Kevin for being funny as hell and GETTING THAT BREAD!!!
