Podtalk: Liz Miele Releases New Comedy Special on Sept. 6, 2022 – HollywoodChicago.com

CHICAGO – Stand-up comic Liz Miele is a true comedy veteran, even in her current youth. She began her career at age 16 and has kept up with the evolution of both comedy and reaching an audience, as her previous YouTube specials have millions of views. Her new special, “The Ghost of Academic Future,” will be available on YouTube September 6th, 2022.

The thoughtful and provocative Liz Miele delights in her hilariously cynical riffs on ghosts, climate change, being attacked on the subway, her mom’s parenting style and more in her new special. As an early adopter of self-produced/self-released specials, ”The Ghost of Academic Future” is Liz’s third stand-up showcase and follows her previous self-released “Emotionally Exhausting” (2.7 million views) and ”Self Help Me” (1.5 million views), both available for streaming on YouTube. A touring headliner, Liz is on the road this fall across the U.S. For tour dates, click here.

In her early twenties, she appeared on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” and has made further appearances of NPR (“Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me”), HULU (“Coming to Stage”) and AXS TV’s “Gotham Comedy Live.” Besides her stand-up specials, she has had several comedy bits go viral on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, including “Feminist Sex Positions” and “London Cops are Better Than American Cops.” She also hosts a Podcast (“2 Non Doctors”) and has written a book (“Why Cats Are Assholes”).

CHICAGO – As Esther Smith says in the following Podtalk, she chose acting because she wanted to indulge in the uniqueness of individuals. In the Apple TV+ series “Trying,” Esther portrays Nikki and Rafe Spall portrays Jason, a couple who desires children and ends up … at Season Two’s end … with two adoptees. Season Three began streaming last month.
