Steve Martin and Martin Short bringing live comedy show to Austin – Austin American-Statesman

If you’re sad that the second season of “Only Murders In the Building” is already over, here’s something to tide you over. Steve Martin and Martin Short, the stars of that Hulu comedy and longtime comedy collaborators, are coming to Austin next year.
Their show “You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!” will come to Bass Concert Hall on May 19 and 20, Texas Performing Arts announced on Monday. Jeff Babko and The Steep Canyon Rangers will be special guests for the performances.
“You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!” is described as a subversive, self-deprecating romp “from two comedy masters driven to make each other laugh as much as the audience,” according to a news release. The pair met during filming of the 1986 film “Three Amigos” and have toured a live comedy act together since 2015.
