Stand up comedy has grown considerably this past half-century.
In the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s, the art form boomed as audiences flocked to clubs to see their favorite acts live in person.
Now, in 2022, many comedians have ascended to rock star-level status and play arenas and stadiums all over the country on nationwide tours.
However, the clubs haven’t gone anywhere either.
That’s where we come in.
We’re here to help you cut through the noise and share with you 35 of the biggest comics that are playing venues large and small (at the time of publication) in 2022.
NJ.com readers using Vivid Seats for the first time can get $20 off orders over $200 with promo code NJ20 at checkout.

Check out legendary funnyman Billy Crystal in “Mr. Saturday Night,” the Tony Award-winning “Book of Mormon” or the new farce “POTUS: Or, Behind Every Great Dumb-ss are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive” starring former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Rachel Dratch if you find yourself in the heart of New York City.
