Tiffany Haddish Inks HBO Deal!

Tiffany Haddish is READY!

She’s funny, beautiful and down to earth, now Tiffany Haddish is creeping towards super-stardom.  Several major news outlets report Haddish has signed a two-year first-look deal with HBO, we don’t have details but it’s safe to assume the deal includes the standard stand-up special, and some sort of development deal. We can’t wait to see what her production company, aptly named “She Ready,” puts together. While other networks seem to devalue Black Women as comics, HBO is doubling-down with the signing of Haddish. The media giant has already produced four one-hour specials for “2 Dope Queens” (Coming 2/2018).

It’s no doubt that Tiffany’s Showtime special, “She Ready,” set the stage for this deal. The widely acclaimed set tackling subjects ranging from foster care to ex-boyfriends (wonder if they’ve jumped off a bridge yet), to introducing Will and Jada Pinkett Smith to Groupon was considered one of the years best specials. The Groupon bit landed her a Super Bowl Commercial, a true marker of success.

The HBO announcement isn’t the only big announcement coming from Haddishs’ camp. Her recent book “The Last Black Unicorn” was recently on the New York Times bestseller list, and she’s tapped to receive the Rising Star Award at the 2018 American Black Film Festival Honors. Tiffany is IT!!! This announcement makes it clear that Haddish isn’t just ‘the next female comic,’ she’s poised to become the next house-hold name in comedy. Few entertainers, male or female have the relatability, and feel-good appeal of Tiffany Haddish. She’s the homegirl down the street, a friendly face that always has the right words or joke to make someone smile. She makes people want to root for her. We at TheySoFunny.com commend and congratulate the dear sister and wish her continued success.

Upcoming ventures

While the deal is in its early stages, we won’t have to wait long to see more of this brown bombshell. Haddish is slated to star in the forthcoming Tracy Morgan comedy, “The Last OG” premiering in April on TBS. She’s also appearing in Universal Pictures, “Night School” featuring Kevin Hart, tentatively scheduled for September release.

So, buckle up and GET READY! Tiffany Haddish is here to stay, and she’s so damn funny!
