Tim Minchin announces special Melbourne live show – The Brag

“It’s a festival set that we’ve been performing, loads of songs, me running around on stage being a goose and you having a good time,” is how the comedian describes it.
Internationally acclaimed comedian Tim Minchin has announced a special Melbourne show at the end of the year.
The multi-hyphenate will take to the city’s Palace Foreshore on Saturday, November 26th for an exciting live show. “It’s a festival set that we’ve been performing, loads of songs, me running around on stage being a goose and you having a good time,” is how Minchin describes it.
Tickets for the Palace Foreshore show go on sale this Wednesday, September 21st at 11am local time. The My Live Nation presale begins on Tuesday, September 20th at 10am local time.
One of the most renowned Australian comedians of his generation, Minchin has been selling out crowds around the world for over a decade. His most recent tour, ‘Back’, was incredibly watched by over a quarter of a million people.
His writing credits include acting as the composer and lyricist for the hit musicals Matilda and Groundhog Day, with the latter earning 7 Tony Awards nominations.
A film adaptation of Matilda the Musical is set to arrive on Netflix later this year. Minchin wrote additional music and songs for the film.
The November show is also a good time to catch Minchin live, with the artist set to release a new song, ‘The Aeroplane’, that month. The song is being written for season two of Upright, the Foxtel and Sky Atlantic show that stars Minchin and House of the Dragon star Milly Alcock.
