Most fun event in the last year: My nephew’s wedding in Cleveland. My immediate family, my siblings, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends were all together to celebrate a wonderful couple, have a few cocktails, and dance. Such special memories.
Growing up: I was the youngest of eight kids and our house was always full of family and friends. Not sure how my parents did it. I loved sports and being part of a team. I played field hockey, volleyball, basketball, soccer and the violin in the orchestra.
When not working, I’m: Playing tennis, cross country skiing, traveling, being a foodie
Favorite nonprofits: Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns, Buffalo City Mission, Camp Good Days and Special Times
Leadership positions: Vice chair of Women in the Mechanical Industry Committee (Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA)
I can’t get rid of: My mother’s cake pans for birthday cakes
Career advice: Always work to improve yourself. Ask for more responsibility, learn a new skill, take a course, join a board, network, volunteer. It will lead you where you want to go.
This keeps me up at night: Gun violence
Hidden talent: Air hockey
This might surprise people: I grew up in the funeral business.
Wishful super power: Having the ability to add more time into the day.
To-do list: Hike the Grand Canyon, do stand-up comedy, attend a tennis Grand Slam
A food I can’t live without: Pizza
Covid lesson: Slowing down is good.
